The Speckled Hen, dating back to 1660, is reputed to be the fifth oldest pub in the whole of Ireland. The pub was immortalised in a 1939 cigarette card collection commissioned by the Willis Tobacco company. It is rumoured the ghost of a previous owner, Johnston Bell, is an occasional nocturnal visitor. It is said the great Irish Statesman Daniel O'Connell stopped at the pub during trips to Belfast. The pub has its own brewery and a beer garden. There is off street parking and free WiFi.
