Wildflower Creative Kitchen was a project started by the chef and waitress from Newcastle's first vegan restaurant, Painted Elephant, after it unfortunately had to close down. They hope to create a new and refreshing take on vegan food while also incorperating other areas of culture and art. Profits are reinvested into the business to keep real food affordable and involve the community as much as possible.
Jessie studied at Cleveland College or Art and Design with a textiles specialism and has brought her own unique style to the cafe's interior - a marriage of vintage botanical art, shabby chic and punk styles is on show and many of the furnishings are homemade and upcycled. She has also worked in the hospitality industry for a number of years.
Asher comes from a catering background and specialises in high quality, affordable vegan food. He especially enjoys catering ellaborate dinner parties and making show-stopper celebration cakes. His academic background is in linguistics.
Wildflower also owes much of its success to friends and family who help us out. We currently have the wonderfully talented Gentleman Busker organising our monthly music events, Rico and Rosa ar Dynamix for helping us out with a pop-up venue, Nik and Kim at Kommunity for giving us our current home and helping us out so much and many others comign on board in future!
