In the 1950’s against the background of the Chinese Cultural Revolution Wing Lau and family left Shanghai for England. Wing is passionate about food and in 1955 he set up a his first restaurant in Liverpool. In 1960 the family relocated to Manchester setting up a new restaurant on Cross Street. Wing is a flamboyant man with a love of fine things. He knows what he want’s and normally gets it, especially in the kitchen! In 1988 Jenny came over from Shanghai to help her uncle.
