La Garnasette

In the Auvergne, you find the department of the Haute-Loire, near le Puy-en-Velay. This is one of the most authentic and quiet regions in France, where we settled down about 20 years ago. Near the village of Rosières, at an altitude of 750m, we restored an old stone farm "La Garnasette" in the original style. We receive guests who look for calm holidays in a authentic region, where the air still is clean, where nature is unspoiled and where you can drink the water from the well. We organise stays for walkers looking for vegetarian or vegan food, organically grown. Spring is nice, full of flowers in the meadows; in summer, because of the altitude, it is never too warm; in autumn you enjoy an astonishing variety of colours and in winter some wintersports like ski-ing can be practised. There are many so called "Petites Randonnées", small walks, well indicated, just for a few hours or a day-long walk. In this region the landscape is different wherever you go: woods, meadows, small villages, vulcanic wells and the river Loire crossing through the valleys.
