Velocity Café

Nestled in the heart of Inverness our cafe has been serving wonderful vegetarian and vegan food since its inception in 2012. Whether it be breakfast, brunch, or lunch, we’ve got you covered! Our kitchen may be small but it certainly packs a delicious punch and is led by our incredible head chef, Ruth Cole. We use local and seasonal produce wherever we can. We also offer a range of gluten / allergen free alternatives - everyone should be able to enjoy our food! 

Still have space? We have a huge selection of fresh baked vegan or gluten free cakes available every day. However, be warned, if you are not fast you’re last! And to wash it all down? It is often said that the best way to judge a cafe is by the quality of its coffee. Which is why we use Papercup Coffee Roasters from Glasgow - trust us when we say there is no better. Don’t believe us? Come and try for yourself. 

We aim to be as zero waste as possible and keep our plastic use to a minimum. Takeaway customers are encouraged to bring their own cups and containers and we have Velocity branded reusable KeepCups available to purchase in the café. We are now charging 40p per single-use takeaway cup as we are trying to encourage our customers to reduce waste and work towards a more circular economy.

Our cafe is a warm, friendly and inclusive space with the added bonus of great food and excellent coffee. You have the option to sit in or takeaway and we are also dog friendly. What more could you ask for!?
