Raw Goodies is a small artisan chocolate making company, producing fine raw chocolate in Worthing, West Sussex. Our ingredients are ethically sourced from co-operatives in Peru and Ecuador. However, our aim for the future is to work directly with cacao farmers from around the world.
Chocolatiers or chefs working with chocolate tend to use couverture, ready made chocolate which is melted and re-moulded into a finished product. Very few chocolate companies in the UK make the chocolate from scratch using cacao beans, this process is known as bean to bar. It is a lengthy and labour intensive procedure, however, the end result is a chocolate with distinctive flavours and a remarkably unique taste.
