The Old Station

A lovely place to amble about with your kids /dogs or in peace without them! The Old Station is owned and managed by Monmouthshire County Council and is, literally, the old railway station platform and building, converted into a café. Set in the Wye Valley it has ethereal views of a tree filled hillside and valley, with the beautiful River Wye winding through. It has a gift shop and railway exhibition and films in a 1955 train carriage, a play area and riverside walks. The characterful café specialises in homemade cakes and pots of tea (soya milk available) and there is a large outdoor area with tables to enjoy them. There are kiddie lunch packs including Marmite Sandwich, Fruit, Raisins and Drink and basic vegan hot meals eg soup and baked potatoes.
