Now in its 6th year Kent Vegan Festival is a great day out for all the family. Everything is vegan, ethically sourced and produced and zero waste/single-use plastic free!
In October 2013, Jo Kidd set up Canterbury Vegans on Facebook and she asked some other members of the group whether they would be interested in helping to organise a regular festival.
The first festival was in October 2015 at St. Peter’s Methodist Church, Canterbury. We were expected a few hundred. However, over a thousand people turned up and the queues led back along the high street all day – a huge success.
With around 70 stalls selling a wide range of all things vegan from cakes and pizza to shampoos and clothing plus lots of information and campaigning stalls, a large café area, lovely children’s areas, including some in our vibrant green space outdoors, live music and poetry, top-class comedy, an amazing art exhibition and 10 fantastic speakers, this is a vegan festival not to be missed!
Everyone is very welcome, whether you’ve been vegan for years or you’re interested in learning more about veganism and trying a wide range of vegan foods.
Profits from the event go to animal rights/vegan charities.
Tickets can be purchased in advanced to save money or buy on the day.
