The Green Wood Cafe

The Green Wood Café opened in June 2016 in a stunning woodland lodge at The Green Wood Centre (home of the Small Woods Association and formerly The Green Wood Trust), Coalbrookdale, with the aim of providing a unique coffeeshop experience in The Ironbridge Gorge.

We’re bringing you the very best from the the UK’s independent artisanal suppliers, local where possible, all served with passion and care. - Open ALL Bank Holiday Mondays.

Events! Open for some late nights/evening events, eg. our fortnightly Street Food Night (vegan-friendly) and monthly Late Night Opening & Hobby Night. We also have our fortnightly Sunday Brunch Jazz. See the 'What's On' page on our website for details of what's on & when.

Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten-free lifestyle inclusive. - Coffee: all ground to order using our Fair Trade coffee beans. Swiss Water Decaf available too. Oat, Almond, Soya & Dairy Milk available. Guest coffees available from local speciality roasters. - Cakes: all vegetarian with vegan and gluten-free options too. - Food: served daily 08:30-17:00. - All Welcome; well-behaved animals & humans of all ages. - Ramp Access to the right of the building (near the woodland hall). - Free Parking Available (As an eco-friendly site we encourage visitors to consider car-sharing when visiting us). The parking is limited, but there is further parking a 5 minute walk away in Dale End Car Park. - Free Wifi Available. - Eco: we’re proud to say we use ‘Vegware’ meaning all our disposables for takeaway food and drinks are compostable, huzzah! We also use ‘Earth Friendly Products’, a brilliant range of ecologically friendly cleaning products. Please note: We DO NOT take reservations.
